Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Will Conquer London Next

Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Hadid have been redefining the catwalk with their see-now buy-now experiential runway shows. In Fall 2016, they inaugurated the series, titled Tommynow, in New York. That show was called “Tommy Pier,” and was the designer’s first collection that was instantly available for purchase. It got a tremendous response and immediately sold out. Riding the wave of that success (no pun intended), in Spring 2017 Hilfiger took over the Pier at Venice Beach for “Tommyland.”
For the Los Angeles iteration the brand staged a full-fledged carnival complete with food stands, rides, and a performance by Fergie. For Fall 2017 Tommynow is going international, taking over legendary London concert venue the Roundhouse. “My vision for Tommynow was to create a global platform that could bring our shows to audiences around the globe like a rock-and-roll world tour,” Tommy Hilfiger said in a statement. “It’s about celebrating the connection between fashion and pop culture with experiences, performances and inspiring interactions that are designed around our consumers. We look forward to celebrating the rebellious spirit and star studded glamour of rock-and-roll in London for Fall 2017.”
Even more exciting, the upcoming show will be co-ed for the first time since 2010. The menswear will be from the Hilfiger Edition line, which is heavily influenced by the brand’s storied archive. The newest collaboration with Gigi will also be unveiled there. The collection will be made available for purchase immediately following the show, which takes place at 7 P.M. London time on the closing day of London Fashion Week, September 17th.
