Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall’s burgeoning romance began on the set of the 1944 thriller-romance film To Have and Have Not, which they both starred in. At the time, Bogart was married to actress Mayo Methot, but the chemistry between to the two silver screen starlets was undeniable. On May 21, 1945, they wed in Ohio. From then on, Bogart and Bacall would costar in some of the most iconic American films of all time, like The Big Sleep (in which Bacall played his love interest), Dark Passage, and Key Largo.
