New York-based designer Collina Strada has launched their first swim collection exclusively on SSENSE. The unconventional label, fronted by designer Hilary Taymour, is a leader in sustainable and mindful fashion, known for reinventing wardrobe staples with eco-friendly fabrics. This collection of swimwear is made entirely of recycled materials, namely nylon jersey, appearing in seven styles and 12 colorways.
The range offers strappy one-pieces, tankinis, boy short bottoms, GG-strings, high necklines, with 90-style bra top piping, and in ice cream pastels of blue, pink, purple, green, and yellow. Similar to Collina Strada’s ready-to-wear, these pieces are designed to be versatile for infinite outfitting contexts, which is a sustainable practice in itself. The swim collection is styled with wide-leg jeans, sarongs, cropped hoodies, mesh layers, and tie-dye cargos, the swimwear styled as the centerpiece to summertime streetwear – or vacation-wear depending on your hemisphere.
