DOS Swim is collaborating with Model, Paloma Elsesser for their latest swimwear collection, “Heat Wave.” The newest swim collection focuses on body positivity with an inclusive size range up to 3XL.
The campaign was shot in Upstate New York by photographer, Mayan Toledano with swimsuits full of earthy tones and bright colors such as red, sage green, and brown. Elsesser talks about the importance of this collaboration in a statement saying, “While the swimwear industry has exploded in the last two years, it did feel like there was a decline in swimwear that was cool and passable and chunky-girl-friendly. Shay and Paula and I are friends, and because of our relationship, we were able to walk through all the steps of what might feel good on a range of body types.”
With the swimwear industry growing rapidly since the start of the pandemic, more consumers are looking to purchase swim, particularly from a brand that values inclusivity. Founders of DOS Swim, Shay Johnson and Paula Hess speak on why they chose Elsesser for this collaboration. “This was a true collaboration like we picked out everything together. Paloma was super involved like she didn’t just flap her name on something in the collaboration is special because we are friends and after coming out of a time where you weren’t able to see friends and family. We just wanted to create something special and making it meaningful,” said founders Shay Johnson and Paula Hess.
Not only is DOS Swim inclusive with size ranges between XS-3XL, the brand has also made the swimwear affordable with prices ranging from to 9.
