James Blake has released a new music video starring a pregnant Natalie Portman in her last trimester. The song is titled My Willing Heart, and was penned by Blake in collaboration with Frank Ocean. The three minute clip was filmed only days before Portman gave birth to her second daughter Amalia at the beginning of March this year.
In the video, the camera cuts between the actress laying in bed stroking her belly, playing with her first child, 5-year-old Aleph, and swimming in a massive tank of water. It has an eerie, otherworldly feel, but overall, it paints a tender picture of the monumentality of motherhood. It also reminds us of Beyoncé’s recent epic pregnancy photo shoot, which saw the singer immersed in a deep pool of water, wearing a flowing Roberto Cavalli dress.
