The Photographer of the 2018 Pirelli Calendar is Announced

The photographer for next year’s Pirelli Calender has been announced: British lensman Tim Walker will photograph the 2018 calendar. He is one of the most prestigious fine art photographers in the world and is behind a number of fashion’s most whimsical and memorable images. Of his more notable series, is a range of surrealist portraits of pop culture icons like Tilda Swinton, Alexander McQueen, Cate Blanchett, and Jennifer Lawrence.

The annual publication of Pirelli is highly coveted. The calendar is not available for purchase; it is distributed to a limited number of high profile executives and celebrities. Last year’s calendar included Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Julianne Moore, and Lupita Nyong’o, all photographed by Peter Lindbergh. The year before that, Annie Leibovitz made headlines with the 2016 calendar, which featured a clothed Patti Smith and a naked Amy Schumer.
