French Style Stars Share Their Ultimate Summer Icons

It happens every year: When summer reaches peak oven temperatures (hovering in the triple digits so stepping foot outdoors feels like you’re straight-up melting), the last thing you want to think about or wear is clothing. It’s almost too easy then to fall in the grab-anything-within-arm’s-reach trap or get stuck in the tank and cut-offs rut of a summer uniform. There’s nothing chic about either. What is, though, is having a summer muse from which to base your entire warm-weather wardrobe.

“I feel like French girls always have incredible summer style, so it’s hard to just name one!” says model Cindy Bruna, when asked about her number-one muse. “There’s so much inspiration just walking down the street sometimes.”

Bruna has a point.
