Versace Debuts New Flash Collection with AJ Tracey

Milan Digital Fashion Week wraps up today, and the four-day event has woven together innovative physical and virtual presentations of Spring/Summer 2021 menswear and Cruise 2021 collections. One of the standout presentations came from Versace, in the form of a video announcing its Flash collection, available for purchase this summer.

The collection debuted on a six-minute livestream starring British rapper AJ Tracey, who gave an exclusive live performance inside a studio. The video peels back the curtains and gives a behind-the-scenes look at creating fashion films, with a camera crew fully in sight. Tracey tries on different Versace pieces until landing on a snakeskin ensemble similar to the one worn by his co-star, model Anok Yai.

Campaign images will be sourced from shots taken during Tracey’s performance as part of the see-now-buy-later aspect of the collection. Although the video stands as the official MDFW entry from Versace, there is more to come this Monday, when the luxury Italian label unveils a coed Cruise 2021 collection.
