Throughout this month, Louis Vuitton is unveiling collaborative windows on select shops around the world, adorning them in bright, colorful rainbows to bring a positive start to the summer season. The rainbow symbolizes hope and new adventure, fitting for this current moment and also for Pride month. The fashion house’s first U.S. installation is on its Fifth Avenue maison in New York City, which was revealed on Saturday.

Titled The Rainbow Project, the artistic collaboration has called upon Louis Vuitton employees, locals, and their children to tap into their imaginations and contribute to the joyous window designs. The Champs-Elysées boutique in Paris has been dressed in a plethora of illustrations thanks to a group of local French children. In Madrid, the windows are adorned in rainbows breaking through the LV monogrammed clouds.

Louis Vuitton has a rich and deep history in regards to their window art, which reaches back to the late 19th century. The fashion house has always considered its decor and displays to be of the utmost importance in making visitors feel invited, welcomed, and inspired.

The new initiative will sweep across locations from several cities in the U.S. to Paris, Rome, Madrid, Mexico, and more, all covered in ROYGBIV designed site-specifically. Alongside this collaboration, Louis Vuitton has partnered with artist Cory Arcangel on an exclusive art series that will feature the artist’s signature gradient style. A piece representing a sunrise will debut June 14, while a sunset will be revealed on June 21. Arcangel’s work will also be featured in the windows of several global Louis Vuitton locations.
