Kate Moss Returns to Saint Laurent

While Yves Saint Laurent has been synonymous with a whole rolodex of iconic women, perhaps no one is more provocative nor enigmatic than Kate Moss, the legendary heartbreaker of fashion.

During Tom Ford’s tenure, the leggy model was a runway mainstay, bringing a British sexpot shock to a then-lull in the androgynous house’s narrative arc. Amidst the era of Stefano Pilati, Moss returned yet again in 2010 to front the house’s fragrance campaign by Craig McDean. Years later, as a long time friend of Hedi Slimane, the supermodel chose to wear a then-newly-named Saint Laurent piece straight off the runway to attend CR Fashion Book Issue 2’s launch party in Paris.

And so now, as YSL enters yet another period of transformation under Anthony Vaccarello, it has looked to Moss for inspiration. Starring in a new series by David Sims, she appears beside musician and model muse Jamie Bochert as the two pay homage to Saint Laurent the designer himself.

Part nostalgic and part forward-reaching, the campaign, like Moss, will live on in history.
