At the dawn of her career, Hollywood’s leading lady Katharine Hepburn spent most of her time at her Beverly Hills estate. She rented the Hacienda-style home, now on the market for .9 million, for five years after moving from New York in 1932. Following that, actor Boris Karloff, known for his roles in Frankenstein and The Walking Dead, purchased the home in 1938. The property was then sold in 1945. Karloff’s love of gardening influenced the home’s lush garden looks and courtyard beauty, giving a wonderful tint of privacy and nature.

The estate was built in 1927. With five bedrooms and six bathrooms, the interior design of the home gives off a very vintage, Spanish-style vibe. Covered in white brick walls, wooden ceilings and floors, and artistic mosaic staircases, the estate’s interior provides a cozy, earthy-tone that’s inviting, including six fireplaces indoors.

The exterior look of the house is also heavily influenced by nature, as seen covered in a variety of pots and plants, and shielded by the sun with thick trees. It includes a flower covered terrace, traditional terra cotta roof, and gorgeous outdoor pool. Two outdoor fireplaces are located at the back of the estate, along with a long garden table for resident’s to host parties and entertain guests.
