Everyone could already count on Lady Gaga, who’s nominated for Best Actress tonight for A Star is Born, to make a head-turning statement on the red carpet, but the singer turned to an unexpected style icon for award season’s biggest night: Audrey Hepburn. Channeling Holly Golightly, Hepburn’s iconic character from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Gaga donned a stunning black gown by Alexander McQueen, elegant black gloves, and accessorized with the Tiffany Diamond from Tiffany & Co..—a 128.54 carat diamond that has only been taken out of the vault for an award ceremony three times in its 142-year-old history.
One of the other times it was worn was by Hepburn in 1961 for the promotional photos for Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Gaga also pulled her hair up into a Hepburn-esque updo. All she was missing was an embellished hair clip to give full Golightly vibes.
