Kim Kardashian’s Beauty Line Will Make $14.4 Million in Less Than Five Minutes

Over the past few days, Kim Kardashian-West has been teasing her new eponymous beauty brand, which will be for sale starting this Wednesday June 21st at 9 A.M. Pacific Time. So far, she has revealed to her 101 million Instagram followers that the first drop will be a “Crème Countour and Highlight Kit,” which makes sense given her highly marketable, flawless skin.

The kits are meant to look minimal and natural when applied, and they will be produced in a limited quantity of 300,000. According to WWD, beauty industry experts expect that kits will sell out in less than five minutes. This translates to .4 million in sales for Kim’s first release. The only beauty release to rival her was Pat McGrath’s Dark Star 006 eye shadow kits launched in April, which sold through almost immediately.

It seems that the famous family has established a beauty empire in the space of a few short years, using their clout to rival the selling power of long established makeup brands. Her younger stepsister Kylie has had astronomical success with her lip kits, and when she and Kim collaborated on one it sold out just as rapidly. If you want to get your hands on a KKW contour palette, have your credit card out, click finger ready, and say a prayer.
