The junior accountant is responsible for performing month-end close tasks, handling various compliance duties, and assisting in processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports and payments.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations, including detailed documentation on reconciliations and following up on outstanding items.
  • Records fixed assets changes in fixed asset system including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Assists with recording office and vehicle leases in the lease accounting software and ASC 842 reporting and compliance.
  • Maintains and reconciles company credit card accounts. 
  • Prepares excise, sales & use, and property tax returns; processes vendor 1099 forms, and renews company business licenses.
  • Processes employee expense reports and vendor invoices and related check payments as needed.
  • Provides support for annual review and overhead audit by preparing supporting documents requested by auditors. 
  • Assists with other Accounts Payable projects and tasks as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance. 
  • Previous accounting experience preferred, including knowledge of fundamental concepts of business and accounts payable.
  • Experience using Deltek Vision/Vantage or other enterprise project-based accounting system a plus. 
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications including Outlook and Excel. Advanced proficiency preferred. 
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of initiative, effectively meet set deadlines and adapt to changing requirements.

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position, located in Redmond, WA, is $49,094-$72,605. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineersu2019 salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance.  As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements. ?
