The Administrative Services Manager is responsible for managing administrative support services for assigned regional hubs and supporting technical teams in client service delivery in partnership with Discipline Leaders (DLs), Group Leaders (GLs), and/or Principals and Associates. This position is the primary regional contact for administrative services and project coordination, event planning, and other general office support tasks. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages daily administrative functions and provides high quality internal and external client service.
  • Oversees the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative functions related to projects, facilities, security, safety, equipment, vehicles, and files.
  • Fosters a zero-incident safety culture and strengthens safety focus at assigned locations.
  • Promotes a strong culture and sense of community in alignment with the companyu2019s values. Organizes and coordinates events and meetings in conjunction with the DLs and GLs. Regularly assesses morale and communicates observations and concerns other leaders as appropriate.
  • Manages administrative staff to include selection, orientation, training, and professional development. Makes recommendations regarding hiring, performance management, compensation, and terminations in partnership with the Senior Administrative Services Manager.
  • Partners with other leaders to support new hire orientation, including workspace coordination and overall local integration.
  • Performs word processing, gINT, and/or project coordination for outgoing documents and materials while enforcing QA/QC processes to guarantee high quality products for clients.
  • Coordinates office maintenance and equipment repairs as needed. Manages office inventory and orders supplies and services as needed. Evaluates third-party service providers and recommends process improvements as appropriate. 

Qualifications 

  • Bacheloru2019s degree in related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 5 years of administrative support experience required; three or more years in a supervisory role highly preferred. Professional service industry experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively managing multiple priorities and projects with critical deadlines as well as exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with capability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with individuals at all levels of responsibility.
  • Results orientation, with strong business acumen and problem-solving skills preferred. 

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position, located in Boston, Massachusetts is $65,193 – $107,358. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineersu2019 salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance.  As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
