Cami Morrone’s Guide to Vintage Designer Handbags

START

In this exclusive series, we ask our favorite CR girls—here, IMG model Cami Morrone takes her turn—to create a list of their top six anything. Last month, supermodel Nina Agdal imparted her gluttonous guide to carb loading in New York City, but Morrone’s most-wanted list is of the inedible, vintage variety. As an ambassador to What Goes Around Comes Around (the top purveyor of designer vintage and concert tees, hands down), it didn’t take long for Cami to share their passion for collecting of rare vintage. “Collecting vintage bags really began when I met the team at What Goes Around Comes Around a few months ago,” Morrone says. “I knew very little about vintage before that. I used to shop at vintage shops on Melrose and in Venice [California], but I wasn’t nearly as inspired and intrigued by vintage as I am now! Being able to work so closely with WGACA is an honor as they are, in my opinion, the best shop for designer vintage. I really wouldn’t know where to go without them. Every piece in the store has a story, and made in great detail.”

We tagged along as Cami ransacked WGACA’s Soho location, where she came back with some incredibly rare finds: an Hermès Blue Jean Kelly, a classic Chanel backpack—read along to see which bags Cami chose and the historical facts behind each. (Who knew that Grace Kelly used her Hermès bag to hide her baby bump?)
