Ahead of the 91st Academy Awards, Sam Rockwell fronts the cover of CR MEN Issue 8, which hits global newsstands March 5, 2019.

The acclimated actor’s penchant for playing anti-heroes, spanning from redneck racist Jason Dixon in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri to oft-reviled former President George W. Bush in Adam McCay’s Vice, has made him one of the most interesting yet polarizing figures to watch in the entertainment world today.

In a new issue centered on the fast-approaching apocalyptic nature of today’s political and social climate, CR MEN opts for humor and optimism over complacency and dismay. And Rockwell, seen here as the ultimate representation of hardworking icons by art photographer Roe Ethridge, does just that. “A good actor is usually pretty neurotic,” he says in the inside interview by Tim Blanks.

Elsewhere inside CR8, CR MEN continues to explore the virtues of merit, talent, and expertise, in our biggest issue ever, featuring artists and performers renowned for their tenacity and growth. Those like Deerhunter’s Bradford Cox, one of the last true-blue rock stars of the current generation; actor Bobby Cannavale, who is embarking upon a new sex-symbol status at almost 50-years-old; and fashion seen from a roster of of photographers and stylists new to the magazine.

CR MEN Issue 8 will be available alongside CR Fashion Book issue 14 on March 5, 2019. To pre-order an advance copy click here, and sign up for our newsletter for exclusive stories from the new issue.
