The sixth annual Frieze New York art fair kicks off on Randall’s Island today and last night’s opening preview had collectors and VIP billionaires swarming the city. The event brings together over 200 galleries from 31 countries and has become a cultural fixture for those wishing to stay abreast of what’s new and buzzy in the industry. Outside of the fair, however, there’s still plenty of exciting art to be seen right here in Manhattan.
