This morning in Paris, Maria Grazia Chiuri made her Dior Couture debut. Staged in the grounds of the Musee Rodin, the show was a magical take on some of the house’s most iconic styles like the Bar Jacket, full skirt, and tightly cinched waist. Of particular note, were the whimsical headdresses which Chiuri chose to pair with 42 of show’s 60 looks. The brainchild of famed milliner Stephen Jones, each bespoke piece was wildly individual and evoked the spirit of bridal nymphs in an enchanted tale akin to Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Some were feathered, while others were festooned with silk flowers or constructed of sheer butterflies and bugs, arranged to partially obstruct or climb up the face.
Here, we recount some of the most standout ones from the show:END
