The timing couldn’t have been better. Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, a Chicago-based national fine art auction house, has tapped into fashion’s never-ending fixation with all things ’90s by hosting an incredible sale of over 350 iconic Gianni Versace items this fall. Make that, all things ’90s and early Versace designs: The collection arrives on the heels of the supermodel-studded Versace Spring/Summer 2018 show (and campaign) that served as tribute to the 20th anniversary of Gianni’s death, along with the highly anticipated, Versace-centric FX show The Assassination of Gianni Versace.
From an avid Versace-obsessed collector,”The Genius of Gianni Versace: A Collection of his Iconic 90s Designs” sale boasts highlighted items from the Versace’s Baroque, Teatro, Bondage, Animal Print, Punk, and Miami collections, with many featured in iconic campaigns and runway shows (most notably: the unforgettable “Miss S&M” Fall/Winter 1992 collection).
