Chanel Takes Over the Ritz In Paris

Chanel has hosted destination Metiers d’Arts shows in Cuba, Italy, Switzerland, and New York over the last couple of years, but this morning the house made a triumphant return to Paris for its 2016/17 collection that Karl Lagerfeld has named “Paris Cosmopolite.” The designer and his model army took over the city’s recently refurbished Ritz Hotel, beginning last night with a cocktail party and an acoustic performance by Willow Smith. This morning, that same space was transformed into a runway and Cara Delevingne opened the show in a cream tweed suit with pink flowers in her hair. Elsewhere, Lily-Rose Depp made her model debut, closing the show in a revealing, all-gold crop top ensemble.
