Century-old Italian fashion house, Loro Piana, delves into their first-ever collaboration. The world of Japanese streetwear melds with their timeless sophistication and beautiful crafted garments in luxury fabrics. Something new for Loro Piana who rarely diverts from their classics. The brand brought Japanese artist and founder of Fragment, Hiroshi Fujiwara, in to create ten genderless looks interpreting its distinctive identity in a fresh way. Another nod to Japanese culture following their flagship opening in Ginza.

“Working with Loro Piana, which accepted the challenge, was really exciting, cool and fun,” said Fujiwara. The designer’s heritage and cultural influence feature in much of his work, including this launch, through simplicity and minimalism. Known for defining Harajuku fashion, Fujiwara disrupts the anticipated silhouette for Loro Piana by relaxing the fit and structure of the clothes, while utilizing materials the Italian house has made their name from. This is Fujiwara’s first collaboration under his own name and not Fragment.

From TasmanianSuper 150’S Wool to Baby Cashmere, the collection elevates from average street style with the cozy fabrics. All pieces live in Fujiwara’s signature color palette of navy blue, black, charcoal, and white. The collaboration includes a bomber jacket, relaxed-fit suit pants, pull-over sweaters, and even a Harajuku-inspired oversized, shapeless, A-line dress. As a Japanese symbol of happiness, the Tsunaghi pattern decorates pieces throughout the collection representing that people are stronger together.

The Loro Piana x Hiroshi Fujiwara collaboration is available now in Loro Piana boutiques and on loropiana.com
