Nothing like a bit of risqué sophistication at The Ritz Paris. If you don’t know Mônot yet—their newly debuted Spring/Summer 2022 collection is an excellent place to start. Designer Eli Mizrahi fabricated the maison’s fourth-ever season with elegant asymmetry, contrasting tones, and cutouts to boot. Truly modern evening wear for anyone wanting to leave something to the imagination… but not too much.
Intimate dinners are an uncommon practice during Fashion Week, nearly all labels hoping to occupy colossal spaces with maximum attendance. But not Mônot, who hosted just fifty people for a runway-surrounded dinner at Paris’ most regal venue. Three courses were served at tables of only ten, with guests including some of Mônot’s greatest admirers—Alexandra Daddario, Maya Henry, Liam Payne, and Symone to name a few.
Delicate architecture defines Mônot’s approach to the classic gown, distinctly showcased against a limited color palette. Harsh geometric lines are softened by an accentuation of natural curves, while built-in opera gloves and caped sleeves add a graceful dash of opulence to minimalist designs. Ingenious shapes are formed in nearly every look—notably the oval of Mônot’s 13th dress, created by bare skin placement on the model’s arms and midriff against a sea of noir.
Backstage, CR got an inside peak on what goes into achieving the ultimate accessory for every collection… a glowing complexion. 111Skin, a prestigious skincare line favorited by luxury fashion and hospitality spaces, partnered with Mônot for perfecting their show prep. Having supported Oscar de la Renta, Brandon Maxwell, and more during this season’s NYFW, 111Skin’s globally renowned aesthetician Milena Naydenov ensured that each model looked radiant before applying makeup.
111Skin’s widely-adored facial masks were omnipresent in the getting ready process, notably their anti-blemish bio cellulose selection. Additionally, every model was treated to an antioxidant essence cleansing and deep facial massage. Once the show began, 111Skin’s co-founding couple, Dr. Yannis and Eva Alexandrides, joined the stylish festivities clad in Mônot.
