Vetements is clearly up to something… cryptic. Gvasalia Family Foundation, the house’s founders, have set the scene for an upcoming brand launch. Complete with an anonymous Instagram account and teaser video, Vetements’ creators are planning to release a fresh new chapter come July 22.
Though most is left up to the imagination so far, Gvasalia Family Foundation has confirmed that their new creation will be, “A brand to cater to all genders, heavily inspired by traditional menswear clothing and sartorial tailoring. A brand without a logo, but recognizable from far away. A brand that doesn’t exist, but is missed already. A brand from tomorrow, that is based on yesterday, on today.”
Planning to offer full design freedom and remove merchandising teams from the fashion process, Gvasalia Family Foundation is offering free-range support to talented visionaries. What will this look like? We have no idea. Countdown until July 22 starts now.
