Serving as the first appointed female Creative Director at Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri leads with an unapologetic feminine flare. For Dior’s upcoming cruise collection, Chiuri researched and walked the vast Bronze Age ruins of the palace of Knossos and the Heraklion Archeological Museum on the island of Crete uncovering the important history that women played. Like past Dior collections that celebrate what it means to be a woman, the cruise 2022 collection merges history with modern feminist narratives. The upcoming show titled “Erratum,” a Latin term meaning correction of a published text, will be sure to please lovers of history and all self-proclaimed goddesses.
