Salvatore Ferragamo, the brand best known for making custom shoes for Old Hollywood giants Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland, has unveiled its first ever holiday campaign. Directed by newly minted creative director Paul Andrew and shot by Sofia Malamute, the campaign stars Fabienne Dobbe, Malaika Firth, Chuyan He, Tevin Steele, and Ryu in order to embrace diversity and continue the brand’s Fall/Winter 2018 Patchwork of Characters concept.
“Being part of Ferragamo’s story is a true gift,” Andrew said. “Our dynamic creative community has all the rich heritage of this house to explore, and we enjoy total freedom to play with those codes from the past in order to reinvent them for the present. Shooting this campaign alongside Sofia and watching all that work come alive was extremely exciting.”
The campaign also features the Pre-Spring 2019 collection, as well as the new holiday season offerings, which integrates the famous Ferragamo 1938 Rainbow wedge that the designed created for Garland, into rainbow-striped bags, shoes, and shades. Andrew also brought back a classic ’90s print from the Ferragamo archive and incorporated the pattern into silk scarves, shoes, and bags.
