While the fashion industry celebrates the birthday of Karl Lagerfeld, one of its most beloved figures, the German designer’s birthday is actually a mystery. When Lagerfeld was born, his mother changed his birth date, which led to confusion as to whether Lagerfeld was born in either 1933 or 1938.
