Last night in Las Vegas, Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens hosted the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. The televised event opened with a nine-minute long Nicki Minaj performance; the rapper recently broke Aretha Franklin’s record for the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 of all time. Other highlights from the night included Celine Dion belting out “My Heart Will Go On,” in celebration of Titanic’s twentieth anniversary, Cher taking to the stage the day after her 71st birthday in pasties and thong, and Miley Cyrus performing her new country music-inspired single “Malibu.” The event produced many memorable pop culture moments, but in terms of actual awards, the night belonged to Drake.
