Miu Miu’s just-released “Suddenly Next Summer,” its fabulous and playful Spring 2017 campaign film, that was inspired by a retro dream.

It’s a continuation of the ad campaign photos that also starred Elle Fanning, Karen Elson, Carolyn Murphy, and Lara Stone, plus five other lesser-known models. The words of the film’s track were lifted from an old 1940s Pathé feature reel on bathing suits and as the clip begins, the voice of the male narrator explains why the best beach wear is made for “the girl who likes to make her dip a frolic of foam and fashion.” It’s another message from Ms. Miuccia, who likes to celebrate the many facets of us women—this season, Miu Miu is chilling oceanside, and we’re right there with them
