Prince’s purple reign is immortal. In addition to recently having a Pantone color invented in his honor, and gracing the new cover of CR Men’s Book, the legendary musician will now be the subject of an expansive retrospective at London’s O2 arena this October.

Entitled My Name is Prince, the exhibit will feature his instruments, clothing from his films, music videos, and performances―as well as awards and handwritten song lyrics―many of which are leaving his Minnesota-based Paisley Park estate for the first time.

“At Paisley Park, Prince constructed and inhabited a creative reality that was wholly unique, allowing him to fluidly develop music and artistic works spontaneously and without limitation,” Angie Marchese, the director of archives at Paisley Park, said in a statement. “He envisioned Paisley Park as one day being opened to the public. Through this exhibition, we are expanding his dream to share with a wider audience, and allow visitors to The O2 in London to experience all his greatness through the artifacts direct from his Paisley Park Archives.”

Indeed, Prince’s vision—both musically and aesthetically—was unique, and in many ways bold. Seeing how he pieced together his public identity (through both song lyrics and costumes) will be an eye-opening look into the world of his genius.

Fans should be aware that the exhibit will only be open for a short while—21 days to be exact. The number holds significance, as it is the same time span as his record-breaking residency of sold-out shows at The O2 in 2007. It’s fitting that 10 years later he is being honored in a way that brings him closer to the people who appreciated him the most.

My Name Is Prince opens October 27 at The O2 in London. Tickets are £25 (USD), and go on sale this Friday.
