Finally, Suspects Of The Kim Kardashian Robbery Are Apprehended

During Paris Fashion Week last Fall, the headlining story wasn’t about the collections, because the armed robbery of Kim Kardashian in her private hotel room captured the world’s attention. At least two men, who were dressed as police officers, forced their way into the No Address Hotel where she was staying and held her up at gunpoint while they made out with over million worth of jewelry. At the time, Kim’s spokesperson stated that she was “unharmed, but badly shaken up.”

Ever since the incident, the star went completely under the radar, as if finally faced with the grim reality some of her 90 million Instagram followers were following a little too closely. She waited until last week to break her social media silence with a series family photographs that show a different side of her than previously shown on her feed. These photos, which look similar to what you’d find in anyone else’s family photo album, succeed in saying that she’s a wife and a mother, no different from anybody else.

According to Le Monde, three months of investigation have led the French police to make the arrests of 16 people who are believed to be involved in the crime. Though according to French law, they have up to 96 hours to make official charges or release them. The French newspaper also reported that there was DNA left at the scene that led to one suspect who was already known to police to prior crimes. These types of break-ins have been a growing problem in Paris, but this has no doubt been the most high profile case yet—although, it was reported that the lead officers had to Google Kim Kardashian’s name in order to become familiar with her.

We’ve yet to hear Kim’s side of the story, but a recent teaser for the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians alludes to a reference to her attack.
