L’Oreal Paris is Teaming Up With Balmain

In an industry-wide first, L’Oreal Paris has announced details of an upcoming collaboration with Balmain. The cosmetics giant has never teamed up with a fashion house before. Balmain has previously released a collaboration with H&M and presides over its Balmain Hair Couture category, but this will be the first time its name appears on a beauty product.

In a statement, Olivier Rousteing revealed that he’s personally overseeing the launch of 12 new collaborative L’Oreal Color Riche lipsticks from initial conception through to the line’s final ad campaign. “L’Oreal Paris and Balmain share the same strong vision of femininity and the same goal, to empower women and offer them diverse ways to express themselves,” enlarged the creative director, who’s been at the helm at Balmain for six years. “I’m thrilled to make this idea tangible for every woman around the world.”

The limited-edition L’Oreal Paris x Balmain collection is slated to launch ahead of Paris Fashion Week in September.
