After an already eventful year, Saturday Night Live actor Pete Davidson can now add Alexander Wang model to his resume. On Friday night at Rockefeller Center in New York, the actor walked in his first-ever runway show for Wang 2020 Collection 1. The runway show, which was separated in four groups of models to pay homage to classic American designers Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Donna Karan, also showcased several menswear looks throughout the collection. Davidson, flanked by two groups of all-Asian and all-black models, wore a pair of black-and-white leather trousers paired with a white tank, sneakers, and a backwards cap.
The collection itself consisted of sharply silhouetted, ’70s-inspired blazers, all-white suiting, as well as a handful of Western-esque, fringed looks that harkened back to the classic days of Ralph Lauren.
Ever since Wang pulled out of the traditional New York Fashion Week line-up, the designer has been pushing the boundaries in terms of beauty, showcasing bleached brows and dramatic ponytails last season, and now, clearly has a few surprises up his sleeve when it comes to casting.
