The Spring/Summer 2020 season, which just wrapped this week in Paris, was an explosion of richly saturated colors—an antidote, if you will, to Fall/Winter 2019’s moody palette—and the experts over at Pantone accurately predicted some of the season’s most stand-out hues. The 12 shades range from Grape Compote (a mellow purple) to Flame Scarlet (which looks just like it sounds). The overarching theme? “A sense of ease” and “elements of humor, modernity, and entertainment,” according to the Color Institute.
