Tripping Through Tokyo with Chanel and Willow Smith

Chanel has been holding replica Resort runway shows in far flung corners of the world for the past few years in order to reach its increasingly global audience. After debuting it Paris Cosmopolite 2016/17 Métiers d’Art collection in Paris on May 4th, last week it was lights! action! once again, this time in Tokyo.

To help fête the event, the house brought one of its youngest ambassadors along for the ride. Sixteen-year-old Willow Smith traveled to Japan with Karl Lagerfeld and co. to explore the city’s most colorful neighborhoods before the show. Just like any good ambassador, she arrived fully decked out in Chanel and packed not one, but three variations of its new Gabrielle bag for the trip. Here, watch Willow as she rides the subway and wonders with wide-eyes around the action-packed city.
