Ondria Hardin knows no world other than fashion. She was discovered at age 11 in her home state of North Carolina, and by the time she was 13 she was already cast in Prada’s campaign by Steven Meisel and on her way towards a close friendship with Karl Lagerfeld. Now you’d recognize her famous face from advertisements for Marc Jacobs, Chanel, YSL Beauty, from her countless runway appearances, or from current Harper’s Bazaar and CR Fashion Book editorials by Carine Roitfeld. To repeat, Ms. Hardin is all about fashion: her dog’s name is Miu Miu and her Chanel bag collection could rival that of a CR employee! Meet Ondria:

How were you discovered:
“I did a pageant in North Carolina when I was 11. There were scouts at the show and a few months later, they called me and asked if I was interested in doing some modeling. I was having a boring summer, so I gave it a shot. Then at 13 I went to New York and did some tests. After that, I went to Tokyo for six months.”

What was the first runway show you walked in:
“Marc Jacobs, Spring 2012.”

What is your favorite runway modeling career moment (so far) and why:
“Definitely shooting Prada at 13-years-old. It was my first campaign and it was life changing.”

What is the best modeling advice you have ever received and who gave it to you:
“I give myself advice, but I’ll never forget Karl Lagerfeld telling me to never change and to always be myself.”

Who is your favorite makeup artist or hairstylist:
“I love Peter Phillips, but I can’t narrow it down.”

Favorite beauty trick:
“I do a splash of hot water and then a splash of cold water. That usually wakes my face up really well. You have to make the water really, really hot, and then just do a splash of it really cold.”

Which actress would you play you in a movie:
“Me, because I want to be an actress. I’m going to start acting classes soon hopefully–to see if I really can do it.”

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling:
“I don’t know what I would be doing if I wasn’t modeling because I started so young. This is all I know. I live, eat, and breath modeling.”

Which are your favorite shows:
“I’m always excited about Chanel, Dior, and Prada.”

Favorite handbag:
“Ever since Karl gave me my first one, I carry a Chanel bag everyday. My first one was a classic black one. Since then he’s given me eleven more, so now I have twelve Chanel bags to chose from.”

Favorite shoes:
“I’m very lazy with shoes, but I like boots. I wear my Prada rain boots even when it’s not raining.”

Favorite jeans:
“Rag & Bone and Acne have really good jeans. I like the cliché Rag & Bone ones that have the rips in them. I think every model owns a pair of them.”

What would people be surprised to know about you:
“My dog’s name is Miu Miu. He’s a mutt and is almost four. He was born on March 17th, so he’s my lucky dog. Whenever I go to Paris, my dad flies to New York to come and get him, because I hate dog hotels. It’s only an hour flight, but Miu Miu probably flies just as much as I do.”
