Every family has its own Thanksgiving traditions, whether it’s a specific way of making sweet potatoes or a game of touch football in the yard. However, the way Americans celebrate Thanksgiving as a whole has changed and evolved over the last 100 years. Believe it or not, there was a time before families woke up on the last Thursday in November to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
