Sharon Frances Veazey, 79, of Carson passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 Sharon was a devoted member of Readville Baptist Church for many years, where she found joy in volunteering for Vacation Bible School, sharing her faith and kindness with the children of the congregation.
Sharon dedicated 20 years of service as an inventory clerk for Titmus Optical, where her attention to detail and strong work ethic made her a cherished colleague.
Outside of work, Sharon had many passions that brought her happiness. She was an avid collector of the Autumn Leaf China pattern, treasuring each piece as a symbol of beauty and nostalgia. Sharon had a deep love for Amish romance novels, finding comfort in their heartwarming stories, and she was an enthusiastic fan of "Little House on the Prairie," never missing an opportunity to watch the timeless show.
Her admiration for Elvis Presley was well-known, and she delighted in visiting Pigeon Forge, where she could indulge her love for his music and the area's scenic charm.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Page Keith Veazey; two daughters, Michele Peace and Diane Lanier; six grandchildren, Jennifer Harris (Eric), Jessica Bennett, Elizabeth Hartman (Andy), Matthew Hartman, Daniel Williams (Emily), Miranda Williams; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, William Jenks (Wendy); sister, Rita Lane; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024 in Readville Baptist Church Cemetery, 20158 Courthouse Road, Stony Creek, Virginia 23882. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803.
