Hosted by cheeky comedian Ricky Gervais, tonight’s spectacle is expected to be notable for a number of reasons, from the all-vegan menu (a move to be more environmentally conscious, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association said) to the uptick in Netflix-based contenders to lifetime achievement honors for Ellen DeGeneres and Tom Hanks.
