Haim Kicks off 2017 Guggenheim International Gala in Dior

A host of it-girls and boys donned their best Dior dress for the 2017 Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party last night New York City. The stylish affair included a performance by fashion’s favorite sister group HAIM and pop aficionado DJ Kindness, who entertained from the bottom of the building’s famed staircase.

The best dressed of the night list included actress Kate Mara, model Sasha Pivovarova, Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus, CR-girl Grace Hartzel, fresh face Skylar Tartz, and artist Phoebe Callings, who all merged Maria Grazia Chiuri’s recognizable designs with their personal style.

Glamorous indeed, but this is just a taste of what’s to come. The Museum’s signature fundraising event, the Guggenheim International Gala, will take place tonight. Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang, whose work has also been featured in the MoMA, is the honoree of both the pre-party and party, along with former president of the board of trustees Jennifer Blei Stockman and UBS, which partnered with the museum to create the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative.

The event proves yet again that fashion is best served alongside its music and art counterparts.
