One of the foremost trends that Carine pays homage to in our current Issue 5 is the diamond-shaped stocking we call the fishnet. From the Moulin Rouge, to the jazz age, to the highest of high fashion in the ’90s—the fishnet has been a tool for women to take on many different personas. Soon after this story was released, we weren’t surprised to see the trend echoed throughout the spring collections: there’s netting woven throughout Rodarte’s mermaid dream collection and a sportier version at Alexander Wang Spring ’14. Let The Net inspire your own take on the trend (we recommend a Louis Vuitton monogram belt in the mix), or at the very least, let it inspire this year’s Halloween costume!
