Like other fashion houses that have chosen to forgo the digital fashion week calendar, Celine will present its next collection in an independent virtual show, titled The Dancing Kid. The luxury label has been disseminating a series of teasers for the upcoming menswear project since Friday. A spokesperson for Celine reportedly stated that it will comprise a filmed runway presentation for the Spring/Summer 2021 men’s collection. It will launch on Celine’s website and via Instagram and TikTok on Wednesday, July 29 at 10 a.m. EST.

Celine was notably absent from the menswear showings last year, and Creative Director Hedi Slimane continues to switch things up. The designer arranged a coed fashion show in March, immediately preceding the quarantine in Europe. At the time, the brand stated that Celine would host separate men’s fashion shows whenever Slimane’s vision warranted it, suggesting that it may be returning to the menswear circuit this summer.

Prior to Celine, Slimane was known for his revolutionary approach to menswear at the helm of Dior Homme. He then brought his knack for slim suiting to Celine, launching its first-ever menswear collection in January 2019. The Celine man, with shaggy hair and skinny silhouettes, has come to epitomize the rocker chic that Slimane brings to the fashion house.
