Sam Rockwell Tries on a Cowboy Hat for Size for CR Men Issue 8

Academy Award-winning actor Sam Rockwell has tried on many proverbial hats, so to speak. He’s donned a sheriff’s cap as a rough-around-the-edges redneck for his turn in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, a hood for Ku Klux Klan leader C.P. Ellis for The Best of Enemies, and a silver-flecked toupee for, perhaps (up until recently, anyway) the most controversial president of our generation to ever sit at the Oval Office—George W. Bush for Adam McKay’s Vice. It was the latter that earned him a second Best Supporting Actor nomination at this year’s Oscars and cemented Rockwell’s penchant for playing the unlikely anti-hero. For the newest issue of CR Men and accompanying video by photographer Roe Ethridge, a newly shaved Rockwell sports a rock ‘n’ roll Beatles bowl-cut, a beanie as a kung fu master, and a cowboy hat for the role he had always been born to play.

CR MEN Issue 8 will be available alongside CR Fashion Book issue 14 on March 5, 2019. To pre-order an advance copy click here, and sign up for our newsletter for exclusive stories from the new issue.
