It seems 2018 is the year of Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. After debuting her couture collection for the house and gaining international attention by designing the wedding dress for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, her latest runway show is a fitting tribute to Hubert de Givenchy, who passed away in March. The looks explored the iconic founder’s relationship with Audrey Hepburn, reviving their magic with elegant silhouettes, lots of classic black, and a minimalist cat-eye by Pat McGrath. The finale was the most explicit reference to the memorable collaboration, as rising model Fran Summers walked the Archives Nationales runway wearing a dress that nodded to Holly Golightly as Hepburn’s rendition of “Moon River” played in the background.
