Vintage Fendi Pieces to Indulge Your Love of Luxury Logos

START

After a decade of nondescript branding, logomania, not surprisingly, made a very in-your-face return (the byproduct of ‘90s nostalgia and maximalism), with designer logos unapologetically stamped across an onslaught of tees and hoodies. And now, the movement has only picked up more steam, with Fendi leading the pack after a rather unforgettable Fall/Winter 2018 show, in which nearly everything—dresses, trenches, bags, sweaters, socks—was blanketed with the brand’s iconic Zucca print (quick history lesson: It was first conceived by Karl Lagerfeld after he joined the luxury house in 1965).

Then came the celebrities: Kylie Jenner matched her Fendi-covered dress with a stroller (true story), Kim Kardashian called herself a “Fendi Fan” when she posted an image of herself in a matching set, and Gigi Hadid made her Fendi logo-print bomber the focal point of her otherwise all-black ensemble.

And that’s just a small sampling of runway-to-real life instances. Now with the launch of Fendi’s “FF Reloaded” capsule collection, there’s no stopping its double-Fs from complete sartorial domination. That’s why, in light of this logo-driven phenomenon, we thought it was worth taking a look at the originals: throwback Fendi items in the signature print.
