Following the rumored departure of Rodolfo Paglialunga from Jil Sander, the house has announced the appointment of a new creative director duo. Couple Luke and Lucie Meier will take over the house. Luke is an alum of Supreme and now manages his own label, OAMC. Lucie was a co-creative director at Dior in the interim following the departure of Raf Simons. She also worked under Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton, and Ghesquière at Balenciaga.

It was also rumored that Jaquemus was in line to take the helm at Jil Sander, but it seems the brand has decided to align itself more with athleisure making the Meier’s a clear choice. Fans of the house have grown quite attached to its minimal aesthetic, so the new appointment could lead to a noticeable change of pace. The couple will show their first collection for Spring 2018 in September.
