As the world’s bestselling, most-notable, and first scent ever created by a woman, naturally, the 100th anniversary celebration of Chanel’s iconic N°5 fragrance is bound to be a dazzling fête to remember.
Last night, Chanel brought together a star-studded guest list including friends of the house to celebrate the next chapter of Chanel N°5’s unique and historical journey in honoring its 100th year with Chanel N°5 In the Stars. The exhibitional ode to the beloved fragrance transforms the outdoor area of the Channel Gardens at New York City’s Rockefeller Center featuring a grand display of the most well-known ice skating rink in the world cloaked in the Chanel N°5 logo — talk about celebrating 100 years in style.
The inaugural celebration brought together celebrities and industry leaders such as Lily Allen, Rebecca Dayan, Dylan Penn, Tommy Dorfman, Phoebe Tonkin, and many more. Guests were greeted with various experiential activities from N°5-themed photo-ops to a series of games like scratch-off reward cards and fragrance compatibility tests. Elsewhere, Chanel lit up the ice rink with a variety of performances including the Brass Queens Band and professional skater Elladj Baldé. The night’s event closed with a bang wrapping it all up with a vibrant performance from Mary J. Blige in front of Rockefeller Center’s gilded Prometheus statue. When it comes to Chanel N°5, 100 years never looked so good.
Chanel N°5 In the Stars is now open to the public at Rockefeller Center in New York City from November 6 to 12, 11AM to 8PM.
