If you’re both a lover of skiing and fashion, you are all too familiar with the struggle of maintaining a chic façade on the mountain. Simply put, it is difficult to keep warm, without looking like a marshmallow. However, this winter, Dior has solved that problem. With their latest DiorAlps collection, the legendary French house has crafted pieces that are not only sophisticated in style, but fully functional as well.

Designed by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, the collection itself is a fashionable ode to escape in the mountains. While paying homage to vintage skiing styles and house classics, the high-tech garments also riff off current trends. For instance, a timeless puffer vest is covered in the blue Dior Oblique motif and a white ski onesie sees the lucky star emblazoned on the back with the contemporary “Christian Dior” stripe running through it. Another house staple, the Mizza leopard print can also be seen on a cropped down jacket, ski suit, and long puffy vest.

Additional pieces, such as chunky white sweaters, trousers, and the popular Dior Book Tote bag make for the ideal après-ski wear. The matte ski goggles and sunglasses labeled with the brand name complete this elevated mountain wardrobe and allow it to run the perfect line between sporty and chic. All-in-all, for this winter season, Chiuri has crafted the ideal wardrobe for those simultaneous lovers of the ski slope and the runway. With references to house classics, vintage sportswear staples, and current trends, Dior has ensured that the most style-minded mountain-goers are both satisfied and well-insulated this winter.
