Brandon Maxwell Launches Anniversary Capsule Collection

New York-based ready-to-wear designer Brandon Maxwell is commemorating five years of his namesake brand with the release of The Anniversary Collection. Pieces from the limited-edition capsule will be unveiled across two installments, the first of which launches today.

Paying homage to the designer’s Texas roots, the first segment of the celebratory collection includes a predominantly denim assortment of dresses, jeans, and accessories. In collaboration with Austin-based company Fort Lonesome, the designer also released a number of colorful embroidered patches so consumers can embellish their favorite pieces.

The second installment will debut on Thursday, including reinvigorated interpretations of five pieces from the label’s Spring/Summer 2016 and Fall/Winter 2016 collections. Maxwell took to social media to share his excitement for The Anniversary Collection’s release, saying the limited-edition launches “span where we came from to where we are now.”

Five years marks the achievement of the designer’s personal goal for the brand. “I told myself that if I could make it to five years, I should do something I rarely ever do: celebrate.”

The first drop of the Brandon Maxwell Anniversary Collection is now available online.
