Burberry’s latest It-bag comes with its very own campaign, lensed by legendary photographers Inez and Vinoodh and featuring Bella Hadid. The Pocket Bag, designed by Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci, draws from nostalgic notes from the Burberry archives. Since taking the creative reins of Burberry in 2018, the accomplished designer has consistently referred back to the prolific roots of the heritage label. Reimagined and stylishly reworked, the versatile and structured tote has a branded front flap pocket and leather taping.

The accompanying shoot, Burberry’s first bag campaign, was inspired by the Burberry animal kingdom, which was introduced by founder Thomas Burberry, whose vision for his brand was personified by the historic logo of a knight atop his trusty steed. The model’s second campaign for the house sees Hadid crawling and crouching like a jungle cat alongside her faux feline companion. Hadid’s stealth femininity and animalistic nature evokes both Thomas and Tisci’s reverence for the literal and figurative power of animals.

With new animal prints and motifs frequently scattered throughout Tisci’s collections for the brand, themes of Burberry’s animal kingdom concept have been referenced and spotlighted throughout the seasons. The Pocket Bag nods to the label’s traditional equestrian aesthetic, featuring a combination of leather coupled with a canvas material.
